Media Send Stormy Daniels Multiple Invites to WH Correspondents’ Event

Liberal media favorite Stormy Daniels is making all the right connections in the anti-Trump world. And though it seems like she’s devouring the publicity, there’s still one Trump-bashing PR event that she’s reportedly reluctant to attend: the White House Correspondents’ Association dinner.

Still, that won’t deter opportunistic media looking to whip the anti-Trump base into a frenzy.

For the past week, many media outlets have been asking if Daniels (Aka Stephanie Clifford) will attend the dinner alongside her scrappy lawyer, Michael Avenatti. Avenatti, who’s attending the April 28 black-tie gala as a guest of the Associated Press, stated that Daniels has so far declined all invitations. He also kept his mouth shut about which media platforms invited Daniels.

But certain media have said they did not invite her, like People magazine.

Whoever the inviters are, they should be grateful to Avenatti. How could any reporter maintain their journalistic integrity while hosting the president’s “ex-mistress” at an evening that is already being used as a weapon to troll Trump? Sounds like the definition of petty drama.

Weeks ago, Trump stated that he would not attend this year’s White House Correspondents’ dinner either, making this the second year in a row that he declined the invitation.

In a recent press release, Trump’s campaign chief, Michael Glassner excused the president.

“While the fake news media will be celebrating themselves with the denizens of Washington society in the swamp that evening,” he said, “President Trump will be in a completely different Washington, celebrating our national economic revival with Patriotic Americans.”

They’d probably attack Trump if he attended as much as they will now that he has declined the invitation. Michelle Wolff, the liberal comedian and celebrity host of Saturday’s dinner, recently mocked the president, daring the “poor little man” to show up, because her and her gaggle of Hollywood whackos would like a good laugh.

And actor Rob Reiner recently remarked that the president is scared of attending, tweeting Tuesday that, “He’s frightened to show up at a dinner that celebrates the 1st amendment (WH correspondents.)”

Trump’s detractors have made the claim that his absence is a spiteful derision towards an esteemed and honorable invitation. But, if the media had it their way, the dinner’s crowning moment would seemingly be a juicy PR debacle between the president and his alleged former mistress – rather than a celebration of journalistic integrity. But since there’s even less of that nowadays, the whole evening seems kaput.
