Film Director: ‘Buffoon’ Trump Becoming President is Proof ‘Deep State’ Doesn’t Exist
James Gunn, the director the of the blockbuster Marvel movies Guardians of the Galaxy I and II, mocked those who believed in an all-powerful deep state as he took to his Twitter account to blast: “If you believe in the Deep State, you really think they’d let a buffoon like Trump become President?”
Gunn, in a Twitter rant on May 23, slammed Trump as a “nutjob” conspiracy theorist: “We have an honest-to-goodness Tin-Foil-Hat-John-Bircher-Sandy-Hook’s-a-Hoax-the-Earth-Is-Flat-Is-Dead nutjob conspiracy theorist as President of the United States.”
Gunn also ranted that Trump “shamelessly lies on a daily basis” and is “doing great damage to our Republic and our Constitution.”
