MSNBC's Glaude: Americans 'Have Become Okay With' Millions of People Dying

On Wednesday's MSNBC Live with Stephanie Ruhle, liberal contributor and Princeton University Professor Eddie Glaude complained that Americans are "okay with people dying" as the group discussed President Donald Trump decision to withdraw from the nuclear deal with Iran.

Glaude began his rant at 9:48 a.m. Eastern by predicting: "He's (Trump is) going to embolden hardliners in Iran. He's stepped into the mess that is the conflict between Shia and Sunni. He's tried to rearrange some things in this region that is already volatile. And the likelihood of war has just been increased in the region."

Then, as if it were America's fault that other nations foment war, the liberal contributor added: "And I just want to say this: For 17 years, I've had to raise a child in a world full of war. I'm just tired of death. And to have someone who doesn't have the patience, the mental acumen, or the curiosity to read the documents."

Host Stephanie Ruhle injected: "It's not president Trump's fault that you've been raising your child for the past 17 years in a time of war. He's been President for the last year."

Glaude then continued: "And I've been critical over the last 17 years. Americans -- we seem to have become -- we're okay with people dying."

After Ruhle declared, "The sad thing is we forget about it," Glaude added: "Millions of people have died."
