James Gunn Held ‘To Catch a Predator’ Themed Parties

New photos have surfaced of film director James Gunn, recently fired from Disney’s Guardian’s of the Galaxy movies for thousands of pedophilia laced tweets on Twitter that show how deep his interest in young children go.

When thousands of tweets authored by Gunn were brought to light last month that mentioned sexual acts with children, he defended them saying they were all just “jokes,” but now photos from his own website have emerged of Gunn dressed as a priest while he’s surrounded by women who are depicted as young girls, with their hair in pigtails and sucking their thumbs. Apparently the photos published on Gunn’s website were taken at a “To Catch a Predator” themed party.

To Catch a Predator” was an investigative news show that aired on Dateline NBC from 2004-2007 and hosted by Chris Hansen.

In the show, watchdog group Perverted-Justice ran undercover sting operations (along with local police) where online predators thought they were chatting with underage children, but in reality they were speaking with detectives and law enforcement officials that posed as underage children. The undercover agents would lure the predators to a location under the ruse that they would be meeting young children for sex. The reality, however, is that once the predators showed up to the location, they would be confronted by host Chris Hanson, and questioned as to why they had come to meet an underage child–all while being filmed on hidden cameras. Hanson would tell the predators who he was and that they were being taped, after which the predators would be told they could freely leave. When they would start to walk out the door, law enforcement would ambush the predators and they were arrested, often times the series showed the predators being booked right on the scene.

Journalist Ian Miles Cheong tweeted, “I wish I never defended James Gunn.”

Cheong also tweeted a few moments later, “Pedo themed costume party. Pedo jokes. Pedo themed humor. Maybe I’m just f*cking paranoid but that looks like a pattern of behavior.”

Shortly after the slew of disgusting tweets about sexual acts with children were exposed, Walt Disney Studios chairman Alan Horn released the following statement:

“The offensive attitudes and statements discovered on James’ Twitter feed are indefensible and inconsistent with our studio’s values, and we have severed our business relationship with him.”

Gunn had been working on the third movie in the Marvel Comic “Guardians of the Galaxy” series and after he was released from “Guardians of the Galaxy 3,” castmates and supporters of Gunn sent a letter to Marvel Studios and Disney DEMANDING Gunn be reinstated as director of the newest installment in the series.

“Sources said that back channel conversations are taking place between Marvel Studios and Disney, according to Mike Fleming Jr. at Deadline. “Sources said the Marvel contingent is trying to persuade Disney to explore a compromise that might bring Gunn back into the fold for Guardians 3, something that clearly would be best for the franchise. There is no clash or strong arming here. I’m told it’s a discussion that comes in the wake of the whole cast declaring their loyalty to Gunn, whose abrupt exit has put a thriving film franchise in a rocky place. One would have to label this 11th hour approach to be a long shot, but the community is talking about it.”

It has yet to be determined if Marvel Studios and Disney will reinstate Gunn as director on “Guardians of the Galaxy 3,” but the Hollywood giant will still be using the script written by Gunn, according to reports from Friday.
