Laura Ingraham Urges Catholics to Call for Pope’s Resignation
A popular Fox News host urged Catholics to demand the resignation of Pope Francis after he was accused by an archbishop of sweeping sexual abuse allegations against Cardinal Theodore McCarrick under the rug.
“Too little, too late from Pope Francis in Ireland—I stand with Archbishop Carlo Vigano. Time for the laity to demand a new Shepherd,” Ingraham said on Twitter after the Pope’s first public statement since the allegations were against him.

Archbishop Carlo Viganò claimed over the weekend that the Pope knew of sexual abuse allegations against Cardinal McCarrick as early as 2013 in an 11 page affidavit.
The apostate Catholic Church was dealt a serious blow Saturday when an archbishop alleged that Pope Francis ignored reports of sexual abuse by a recently-retired Cardinal Theodore McCarrick.
“Holy Father, I don’t know if you know Cardinal McCarrick, but if you ask the Congregation for Bishops there is a dossier this thick about him,” he allegedly told Pope Francis at the Vatican in 2013. “He corrupted generations of seminarians and priests and Pope Benedict ordered him to withdraw to a life of prayer and penance.”
“The Pope did not make the slightest comment about those very grave words of mine and did not show any expression of surprise on his face, as if he had already known the matter for some time, and he immediately changed the subject,” Viganò said. “He clearly wanted to find out if I was an ally of McCarrick or not.”
The Catholic Church is right to gripe about Pope Francis, who has seemingly made the wrong move at every turn.
He spends a great deal of time admonishing President Donald J. Trump and fighting for leftist social justice causes like climate change, but remained silent when Ireland legalized abortion and has done nothing to address rampant claims of sexual abuse against Catholic clergy members, perhaps the largest scandal in the modern history of the Catholic Church.
Until the apostate church gets back on track, Catholics should, at a minimum, cease donations to the Church or risk being complicit horrific abuse at the hands of supposedly-pious.
