Courage! Judge Brett Kavanaugh: “I will not be intimidated into withdrawing from this process.”
On Monday, Judge Brett Kavanaugh said he will "not be intimidated into withdrawing" from his Supreme Court nomination, according to The Hill. This statement after a second woman came forth with a sexual misconduct allegation against him.
Judge Kavanaugh has also issued a letter addressed to Sen. Chuck Grassley and Sen. Dianne Feinstein confirming his attendance at the hearings on Thursday.
In the letter Judge Kavanaugh declares that the allegations against him "are smears, pure and simple. And they debase our public discourse. But they are also a threat to any man or woman who wishes to serve our country. Such grotesque and obvious character assassination—if allowed to succeed—will dissuade competent and good people of all political persuasions from service.”
“Grotesque" character assassination has now clearly become a common go-to strategy for Dems. Such a strategy is ominously reminicient of the communist strategies used in hellish forced labor camp trials described by Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn, a survivor of one such camp, in The Gulag Archipelago.
