Trump to meet Kim Jong Un at Second Summit
South Korea’s president Moon Jae-in personally relayed an invitation from North Korea’s leader Kim Jong Un to President Trump for a second summit during the United Nations General Assembly today, according to an article by Steve Herman Voice of America's White House Bureau Chief.
The purpose of the summit would be “to make progress on denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula.”
“You are indeed the only person who can solve this problem,” Moon Jae-in told Trump.
President Trump responded that he would have “a second summit with Chairman Kim in the not-to-distant future.” “The relationship [with Kim Jong Un] is very good--in fact in some ways it is extraordinary,” added Trump.
