AP Says 500 Attended Biden Rally, Photo Shows Just 117
The Associated Press and attendees – mostly union members – grossly exaggerated the amount of people who showed up at a campaign rally for Democrats in Las Vegas on Oct. 20.
“Culinary Union spokeswoman Bethany Khan said later Saturday organizers checked in more than 500 people for the Las Vegas rally, including some who filled in overflow areas away from the stage,” AP said.
But photos show that the rally was nowhere near that size, suggesting that organizers may have exaggerated the numbers for the benefit of Democrat enthusiasm, which they are desperately trying to sustain through the Nov. 6 election.
Here is the photo:
That is quite obviously not 500 people. BLP counted 117. People certainly were not filling “overflow areas away from the stage.”
On the contrary, President Donald J. Trump will rally with Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) on Monday night, and over 100,000 people have RSVP’d for the event in Houston.
“Incredible numbers for #HoustonRally. 100,000+ RSVPs. I have flown in early and my great team is setting up the first ever TAILGATER for outside. So everyone come, room for everyone. Come see @realDonaldTrump inside or out!” said Trump 2020 campaign manager Brad Parscale on Twitter.
