Melania Arrives in Ghana for solo Africa Trip
First Lady Melania Trump arrived in the Ghanian capital of Accra on Tuesday (October 2) beginning her first major solo international trip. Ghana's First Lady Rebecca Akufo-Addo greeted Melania as she arrived.
The First Lady spent the day visiting a local hospital to learn more about local welfare initiatives for children. Judging from the many photos of the First Lady avaiable at The Daily Mail (UK), she also appreciated a lovely bouquet of flowers given by a young girl in traditional Ghanian dress, enjoyed interacting with the children and their mothers as they seemed to enjoy interacting with her, and watched an animated performance by local dancers.
The First Lady will next visit Malawi, Kenya, and Egypt. All these locations will provide the opportunity to learn more about the needs of mothers and children and to promote her Be Best Initiative.
