Trump Campaign Committee Alum Endorses Chris McDaniel

Kendall Prewett, Donald Trump regional coordinator and 2016 campaign committee member, announced his support for Chris McDaniel, the conservative Senate challenger in Mississippi.

Prewett explained that “his opponent Cindy Hyde-Smith pushed for a gun ban on state property.”

McDaniel released the video endorsement on the day President Trump visited Mississippi for his epic rally in Southaven. The president heard repeated chants of “We want McDaniel” in his crowd.

Mississippi Republican U.S. Senate candidate Chris McDaniel has pulled to within five points of his Republican opponent Cindy Hyde-Smith and six points of Democrat leader Mike Espy in the latest NBC News/Survey Monkey poll.

Espy leads with 25 percent, with interim Republican and former Democrat Cindy Hyde-Smith ranking second with 24 percent. McDaniel the conservative state senator stands at 19 percent with a full 27 percent undecided. (RELATED: Cindy Hyde-Smith’s State Director Linked To Hillary Clinton).

The Mississippi Senate race will go to a runoff on November 27 three weeks after Election Day if none of the candidates clears 50 percent. The top two vote-getters will advance.

Even the mainstream poll shows that only 14 percent of Mississippi voters trust the federal government to do what is right “most of the time” or “just about always.”

“The NBC News|SurveyMonkey Mississippi State Poll was conducted online from Sunday, September 9, through Monday, September 24, 2018. Results are among a sample of 1,152 adults aged 18 and over, including 985 registered voters, who live in Mississippi. The error estimate for registered voters is plus or minus 4.3 percentage points,” according to the poll.
