Florida Keys Woman Nearly Runs Over A Deputy, Blames Trump For Her Arrest

A woman in Key Largo was arrested after almost running over a Florida Keys deputy with her car. The woman had just caused a huge scene inside a Key Largo Publix supermarket, and upon arrest said President Donald Trump put cops up to arresting her. She also said it must have been Republicans who called the police on her, according to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies arrived at the mile marker 101.5 Publix parking lot at 3:40 p.m. on Friday after receiving several phone calls that a woman was at the supermarket disturbing other customers, said sheriff’s office spokesman Adam Lindhart. The arrest report does not specify exactly how the woman was bothering the other customers.

When police arrived, several people in the parking lot pointed deputies in the direction of a woman sitting inside a black Nissan.

Sgt. Sydney Whitehouse and Deputy Dyllon Hansen ordered the woman, Kim Molina Larman, 55, to get out of the car. Larman refused and instead backed out of the parking space. When Hansen stood in front of the Nissan demanding that she stop, Larman put the car in drive and proceeded to move forward, nearly hitting the deputy and another parked car, according to Linhardt.

Larman was able to leave the parking lot and deputies soon found Larman’s car about a quarter mile north of Publix on the shoulder of Samson Road. When deputies approached the car, ordering Larman to exit, she again refused. Deputies say they had to physically force Larman out of the vehicle. As they handcuffed her, Larman dropped to the ground, refusing to get up, Linhardt said.

Whitehouse placed Larman on the back of a patrol car, and as he did, Larman tried to bite him, Linhardt said.

While in Hansen’s car, on her way to jail, Larman told the deputy that Trump must have ordered him to arrest her and that her only crime was being a Democrat, according to Linhardt.

Deputies booked Larman on four counts of resisting arrest without violence. As of Friday afternoon, she was in county jail on Stock Island with no bond information immediately available.
