POLL: Chris McDaniel Takes Lead Over Cindy Hyde-Smith In Mississippi Senate Race

Conservative state senator Chris McDaniel has pulled ahead of interim senator Cindy Hyde-Smith in the four-way Mississippi Senate race. The top two vote-getters on Election Day head into a runoff on November 27.
While Democrat Mike Espy is destined for the runoff, Republican McDaniel and former Democrat Hyde-Smith are battling for second place.
A new Change Research poll released on the eve of Election Day shows McDaniel topping Hyde-Smith 28 percent to 27.

Cindy Hyde-Smith’s candidacy is in crisis mode following Hyde-Smith’s videotaped admission that she voted for a budget that funds Planned Parenthood, despite her stated pro-life credentials. The former Democrat also voted for Hillary Clinton, and pushed for a gun ban on the state fairgrounds.
