President Trump: ‘The Ninth Circuit — We’re Going To Have To Look At That’
The liberal Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals ruled Tuesday that President Donald J. Trump is not allowed to restrict asylum seekers from entering the country, a move which prompted the President to blast the court.
“The Ninth Circuit — we’re going to have to look at that,” Trump said to a gaggle of reporters. He called the court’s overwhelmingly liberal makeup a “disgrace.”
The court issued a temporary restraining order blocking a Nov. 9 proclamation made by Trump in an effort to restrict the number of asylum seekers who crossed the border illegally. The judge who decided the case was Jon S. Tigar, an Obama appointee, according to multiple reports. Trump issued the proclamation in response to the caravan of migrants careening towards the Southern border, which have arrived near Tijuana, Mexico in waves over the past week.
“The request was made by the American Civil Liberties Union and the Center for Constitutional Rights, which quickly sued after President Trump issued the ban this month in response to the caravans of migrants that have started to arrive at the U.S.-Mexico border,” according to Fox News.

Once again, America’s court system – or at least the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals – has taken a special interest in those who arrive at America’s border illegally. The same court ruled against Trump’s ban on travel from several majority-Muslim countries in December, a decision that was ultimately overturned by the U.S. Supreme Court.
According to Fox, border officials are processing 100 asylum claims per day. There are reportedly 3,000 asylum-seekers already on the waiting list, and 70,000 asylum claims processed each year.
“During a conference call with reporters Monday afternoon, homeland security officials said ‘most of the caravan members are not women and children’ and that more than 500 criminals are traveling with the group that has amassed on the other side of a San Diego border crossing,” the report said.
