REPORT: Rosenstein To Resign In 48 Hours, No Longer In Charge of Mueller Probe

In another Justice Department shakeup, Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein is set to tender his resignation within the next 48 hours according to a One America News report.

“BREAKING: Sources tell me Deputy AG Rod Rosenstein will be offering his resignation within the next 48 hours. ,” said One America News’ White House Correspondent Emerald Robinson on Twitter.

Rosenstein was relieved of his duties overseeing Special Counsel Robert S. Mueller’s Russian “collusion” probe this afternoon after Attorney Jefferson B. Sessions resigned.

President Trump just announced that Matthew G. Whitaker, Sessions’ Chief of Staff, has became acting Attorney General after Sessions’ resignation.

“We are pleased to announce that Matthew G. Whitaker, Chief of Staff to Attorney General Jeff Sessions at the Department of Justice, will become our new Acting Attorney General of the United States. He will serve our Country well. We thank Attorney General Jeff Sessions for his service, and wish him well! A permanent replacement will be nominated at a later date,” President Trump said in a series of tweets.

Sessions later confirmed his resignation.
