Rolla Man Charged With Making Terroristic Threats Against Churches And Christians

A Rolla, Missouri man was charged with making terroristic threats against Christians and churches just hours after the mass shooting at Tree of Life synagogue in Pittsburgh.
“We don’t want to join that long list of those places that have suffered those horrific tragedies,” said Phelps County Prosecuting Attorney Brendon Fox.
The prosecutor charged 40-year-old Joshua D. Anderson with three counts of making a terrorist threat. The man is homeless and has been staying at The Rolla Mission, where he has access to the internet..
“After the Pittsburgh shooting, he posted on his own Facebook wall applauding shootings,” Fox said.

Court documents indicate Anderson said, “A mass shooting oh goodie goodie…hopefully a bunch of dead Christian youth. And if I were to kill a Christian I’d nail them to a tree.”
Church members at the Rolla Assembly of God shut down all services and called in security. Assembly of God Churches in Steeleville and St. James were also mentioned in Anderson’s Facebook posts where he stated he “hoped they are scared for their life.”
When police spoke with Anderson on Sunday, he reportedly said that he was angry at his uncle and at his uncle’s church, the First Assembly of God in Rolla. Police said he also admitted to posting on Facebook “so that everyone would know how corrupt the church was.”
On Monday, the church told police Anderson had made a new Facebook profile where he claimed to be the late serial killer Geoffrey Dahmer, while trying to add the church as a friend on Facebook.
Anderson is being held in the county jail on a $50,000 bond, with his first court appearance scheduled for November 6th, 2018.
