WATCH: Bitter Stacey Abrams Won’t Say That Brian Kemp is Legitimate Governor of Georgia

After losing Georgia’s gubernatorial race – and being granted more than enough slack after the race was over to garner additional votes – Stacey Abrams still refused to admit that Brian Kemp was the “legitimate” governor-elect of Georgia in a Sunday interview.

“He is the person who won an adequate number of votes to become the governor of Georgia,” Abrams said in an interview with CNN’s Jake Tapper.

“He is the legal governor of Georgia. And here’s the thing, Jake, I want to be very clear – words have meaning. And yes, when he takes the oath of office he’ll be the legal governor of Georgia. He is the legal victor. But what you are looking for me to say is that there was no compromise of our Democracy and that there should be some political compromise in the language I use. And that’s not right,” she continued.

Abrams was indeed “very clear” on one thing: She is bitter about her election loss, and has not accepted her defeat.

“Will I say that this election was not tainted? Was not a disinvestment and disenfranchisement of thousands of voters? I will not sat that,” Abrams said.

Abrams also said that she was not worried that her words would “undermine faith in the Democratic process.” You might remember two years ago when twice-failed presidential candidate Hillary R. Clinton said that simply questioning the outcome of any election was a “direct threat to our democracy.”

It looks like Democrats have done a 180 degree turn on that position. The entire segment was framed around accused wife-beater and Ohio Democratic Sen. Sherrod Brown’s assertion – made without any supporting evidence – that Republicans “stole” the gubernatorial election in Georgia.
