FAIL: New York Times Buries Fact That Their Hit Piece Is Based On Claims of Two Anti-Trump Democrats

On Wednesday, the New York Times published a hit piece on President Donald Trump, claiming that a podiatrist, Dr. Larry Braunstein, who rented office space from Fred Trump, President Trump’s father, diagnosed the now-president with “bone spurs.”

Investigative reporter Steve Eder of The Times said that Mr. Trump received multiple draft deferments due to the diagnosis, resulting in him not serving during the Vietnam War.

The only corroboration offered by Mr. Eder, however, is the testimony of Mr. Braunstein’s daughters, who both told the Times that they despise President Trump.

Conveniently, Mr. Eder only disclosed that Mr. Braunstein’s daughters, Dr. Elysa Braunstein, 56, and Sharon Kessel, 53, are registered Democrats in the 28th paragraph of the article.

“The podiatrist, Dr. Larry Braunstein, died in 2007. But his daughters say their father often told the story of coming to the aid of a young Mr. Trump during the Vietnam War as a favor to his father,” the article says.

““I know it was a favor,” said one daughter, Dr. Elysa Braunstein, 56, who along with her sister, Sharon Kessel, 53, shared the family’s account for the first time publicly when contacted by The New York Times.”

“No paper evidence has been found to help corroborate the version of events described by the Braunstein family, who also suggested there was some involvement by a second podiatrist, Dr. Manny Weinstein.”

“The daughters, both Democrats, say they are not fans of Mr. Trump.”

Dr. Larry Braunstein reportedly passed away over a decade ago, in 2007, according to records reviewed by The Times.

“We are to believe that people who were three or six [years old] at the time somehow know Trump’s detailed medical history. I’m surprised the paper didn’t arrange a séance and quiz the late doctor, too,” Media Research President Dan Gainor told Fox News in a statement. “It’s articles like this that make me doubt that the Times has any ethics left at all.”

“It’s the perfect liberal story. Trump can deny it but because these are private records, the only way to refute it is to let the Times dig through his medical records. It’s articles like this that make me doubt that the Times has any ethics left at all.”

The Braunstein daughters told the Times that they didn’t know whether or not their father, Dr. Larry Braunstein, ever actually examined Trump.

Evidently, they didn’t care.
