SHUTDOWN DAY 10: President Trump Kicks off Work Week Without Chuck And Nancy

President Donald Trump is kicking off the work week at the White House, but the Congress is conspicuously absent. Nancy Pelosi might be able to cash in some Hawaii vacation days, and Chuck Schumer looks sickly anyway, but there does seem to a noticeable gap in work ethic between the executive and legislative branches.

The Senate will come back on Wednesday, and the new Congress comes in on Thursday. In the meantime, President Trump is running a one-man governing operation with his trusty sidekick Mick Mulvaney. The hardworking brave American military is also plugging away defending the United States. What will the new Congress accomplish in this epic showdown over the $5 billion in border Wall funding?

Probably nothing.

Nancy Pelosi, 78, is trying to squeeze out two more years as party leader, but the open-borders globalists who fund the Democratic Party will probably not send her back to the speakership if she allows Trump to score a political win for the American people. That seems to be the nagging problem with these negotiations. Pelosi is enjoying her vacation time at a five-star resort in Hawaii. She obviously has no real strategy to end this shutdown. So the shutdown continues.

Trending: CONFIRMED: The Government CAN Build The Wall With Brian Kolfage’s GoFundMe Money

House Democrat Sheila Jackson-Lee quietly introduced a bill banning taxpayer dollars from going to the Wall, but her sneaky ploy has now been exposed. Chuck Schumer, a former advocate for border security, declared that Trump will never get his Wall, but Chuck is pliable. The stock market rebounded from the Federal Reserve’s vindictive Christmas Eve collapse. The two children who died in U.S. government custody suffered problems including dehydration and lack of medical care on their dangerous journey to the border, courtesy of the Democrats’ irresponsible open-borders rhetoric.

The press is trying as hard as they can to “blame” Trump for the shutdown, but they exist in a manufactured 2-D Washington narrative and their Playbook is getting stale. Many Americans simply do not care that the government is shut down. Many pro-Trump patriots are actually enjoying this.

Acting White House chief of staff Mick Mulvaney made it clear that Trump is not weaponizing the shutdown. The Smithsonian is still open. The military is doing its job, the Coast Guard is getting paid, and the “non-essential” government employees are learning a Christmastime lesson about how to make themselves more valuable in the economy.

The Democrats simply choose to be petulant teenagers. They only comprehend tough love. Eventually they will have to realize that we can’t just run from our problems in life. We have to face our challenges as mature adults. Sometimes we have to swallow our pride and do the right thing, even if it means we won’t be popular for a while at San Francisco cocktail parties.

They say character is what you do when no one is watching — which is why CNN shows their character every night. But in this case, the whole country is watching Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer. And the country thinks Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer look ridiculous.
