The Other Pro-Gun David Hogg Is Raising Money To Buy Christmas Gifts For Sick Kids
The pro-gun David Hogg (NO RELATION TO THE ANTI-GUN DAVID HOGG) is raising money to buy Christmas gifts for sick children at Levine Children’s Hospital in Charlotte, NC.
His fundraiser has been running since December 4th and has raised over $2,500 at the time of writing. You can donate to it through this link.
He has already been buying gifts for the children, and even ran into a former patient at Levine Children’s Hospital during one of his trips to Walmart.

In his GoFundMe, Hogg lists his reasoning for his act of kindness.
I’m David Hogg. I’m the one pictured on the right – that was born prematurely. I’m the one that lost my twin brother, Joseph – pictured on the left. He didn’t make it because he had Tricuspid Atresia – it’s a major heart defect. I think of my twin brother often…what could have been. I have a major connection to him. When I was little, I wrote many letters to him in Heaven. He taught me to be strong! I’m an avid volunteer, have a job, attending my 2nd year of early college at UNCC and the one that can’t fathom being a child fighting an illness and waking up in the hospital on Christmas morning. It’s heartbreaking.
This campaign is all about the kids at Levine Children’s Hospital. Help me raise money, help me shop for them (I need your ideas!), be there with me when I distribute them. Also, Joe Bruno with Channel 9 at WSOC has confirmed he will cover the story. That way, you can experience the joy your donation brought.
Hogg has found himself with a platform in response to the infamy the other David Hogg has been receiving.
Instead of using that platform to selfishly promote radical gun control, he has been using it to showcase good deeds, and encourage others to do the same.
