‘Impeach Rashida Tlaib’ Petition Closes In on 250K Signatures, Highlights False-Residency Accusation
The Change.org petition to “IMPEACH RASHIDA TLAIB” created by Mrs. American Citizen is approaching 250,000 signatures.
The petition sprang up in the aftermath of Tlaib’s vow to “Impeach the Mother–er” President Donald Trump, which tastelessly kicked off the freshman class’ participation in the new Congress.
The petition accuses Tlaib of falsifying her residency, which could undermine her claim to having been elected.
The petition states: “RASHIDA TLAIB of Michigan was questionably elected to our house of representatives during the November 2018 primary election process. She lied about living in Detroit using her fathers house address .. she never lived there .. she lived in Dearborn ., her father has verified this .. .. if this is not the case os TLAIB Denies we would like proof of her residency in Detroit .. We also demand a full investigation and recount of every vote that she supposedly received”…

Tlaib is experiencing difficulty in advocating against President Trump for the Democrats’ anti-Wall position during the government shutdown.
Tlaib incorrectly said on the House floor that Congress does not need President Donald Trump’s support to re-open the federal government.
“We don’t need the president’s support, so please” take up a continuing resolution to re-open the government without funding the border wall, Tlaib begged Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell.
Tlaib’s statement is false, because even if the Republican-controlled Senate did pass a Democrat House bill, President Trump would not sign it. As clearly evidenced by the events so far in this government shutdown, Congress has no chance of overturning a Trump veto. Mitch McConnell refuses to introduce any bills that President Trump will not sign, and President Trump is committed to funding America’s southern border Wall.
