Republican Debbie Lesko Rips Pelosi: Democrats Refuse To Show Up
Republican congresswoman Debbie Lesko of Arizona ripped Nancy Pelosi on the House floor Thursday.
“I don’t know what to say,” Lesko remarked, disgusted at the Democrat tactics. Lesko said that Democrats refuse to show up or even come to the negotiating table to talk about a deal that includes border Wall funding.
“The majority chose to play politics yet again,” Lesko said, referring to the Democrats tying bipartisan disaster relief to their true cause of re-opening the government. “Again, without any border security funding, that bill passed the House yesterday” but there is no indication that Mitch McConnell will ever take up the bill in the Senate.
“The president has made it clear, and I believe the American people have made it clear that we want border security,” Lesko said, urging Democrats to work on legislation that might actually have a chance of passing.
