WATCH: Pelosi Seems To Think Trump Can Be Indicted for ‘Collusion’ While In Office
Thursday morning, ABC’s “Today” ran a highly speculative segment in which host Savannah Guthrie prodded Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) about whether it was possible to indict President Donald J. Trump while he is a sitting president.
There is no indication, mind you, that the President has committed a crime, despite what the mainstream press has billed as Russian “collusion.”
“I do not think that that is, uh conclusive,” Pelosi said when asked about whether Department of Justice’s long-standing tradition of not indicting sitting presidents is valid.
“Let’s just see what Mueller does,” she said. “Let’s spend their time on getting results for the American people.

That Pelosi said “getting results” is telling. Democrats will not end this obviously bogus investigation until they get the result that they want – an indicted president, which Pelosi now seems to think is acceptable.
“Everything indicates that a president can be indicted after he is no longer president of the United States,” Pelosi said, dancing around the the actual question about a sitting president being indicted.
“A sitting president [can be indicted] when he’s no longer president of the United States,” she said curiously.
When Guthrie finally drilled down to the ultimatum, whether Special Counsel Robert S. Mueller III could seek an indictment against Trump while in office, Pelosi cracked.
“I’m saying that that is an open discussion,” she said.
