Illegal Man Charged with Stabbing Neighbor to Death in New Jersey

An illegal alien living in New Jersey was arrested and charged last week for allegedly stabbing his neighbor to death.

“Jeffrey Vasquez-Calderon, 37, has been charged with murder, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose and unlawful possession of a weapon in the death of 30-year-old Luis Sanchez, according to Mercer County Prosecutor Angelo J. Onofri and East Windsor Township Police Chief James A. Geary,” according to a local New Jersey newspaper.

Vazquez-Calderon was being held on an Immigrations and Customs Enforcement (ICE) detainer before being transported to Mercer County for his arraignment.

“Police believe Vasquez-Calderon and Sanchez left a nearby liquor store and lounge together earlier in the evening on Tuesday night, Feb. 26,” the report said. “They went back to Sanchez’s house, where Vasquez-Calderon stabbed Sanchez numerous times with a knife, authorities said.”

The two men were reportedly acquaintances, and lived on the same block.

“Upon arrival, East Windsor police found Sanchez’s body on the back patio area of his home. There were visible wounds and trauma to his body, and he was pronounced deceased at the scene,” according to the report.

As the battle rages in Washington, D.C., about whether the United States is allowed to have a sane immigration policy, preventable crimes continue to occur on a regular basis across the country.
