Illegal Alien Sentenced to 25 Years for Raping 12-Year-Old Girl

An illegal alien living in Georgia has been sentenced to a quarter century of jail time after being convicted of raping a child.

“In June 2015, the victim’s mother and older brother called the Gwinnett County Police Department to report that Ruben Alvarado had sexually assaulted the girl on at least one occasion, the Gwinnett County District Attorney’s Office said,” according to The Gwinnett Daily Post.

The child gave police a detailed account of the sexual acts forced upon her by Alvarado.

The convicted rapist was released on bond and free to roam the community for the past three years during his trial, due to Obama administration guidelines that disallowed Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) from placing holds on accused criminals before they were convicted of crime, according to the report. Fortunately, Alvarado did not hurt anyone during his time roaming free.

“It’s shocking that a child predator was released into an unsuspecting community simply because federal laws that should protect them were not in place at the time of his arrest,” Sheriff Butch Conway told the paper. “One can only hope he didn’t victimize other children while he was free on bond. Fortunately, the 287(g) program operating under the current administration allows us to place a detainer under these circumstances, which greatly helps us protect our community from these child predators.”

Alvarado was convicted on one count of rape and one count of child molestation, but acquitted of one count of statutory rape on March 22.

The conviction comes as the battle over open borders rages in Washington, D.C. Both parties have failed to secure the border as Congress remains gridlocked.

As illegal border crossings surge, Democrats blocked a meaningful amount of wall funding in the 2019 federal budget. President Donald J. Trump declared a National Emergency to address the issue, with plans to diver Department of Defense funding for the project, for which several heavily-blue states immediately sued his administration.

In addition to failing to deliver wall funding during 2017 and 2018, 12 Republican Senators voted against the president’s emergency wall funding, including Sens. Mitt Romney (R-Utah), Marco Rubio (R-Fla.), and Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska).
