Maxine Supports Jussie Deal As Chicago Cops Protest
Rep. Maxine Waters of California supports Cook County, Illinois state’s attorney Kim Foxx’s decision to drop hate hoax charges against Jussie Smollett. Foxx made a sweetheart deal with Tina Tchen, the Michelle Obama chief of staff who intervened on Smollett’s behalf.
Waters reasoned, in an Extra interview at the NAACP Image Awards, that it was “correct” for the charges to be dropped, that Jussie Smollett did not hurt or kill anyone, and that he had never committed a crime before.
The Chicago police union protested outside Kim Foxx’s office after the Cook County district attorney cut a sweetheart deal to drop hate hoax charges against the Obamas’ personal friend Jussie Smollett. (READ: Here Are The Democrats Tained By The Jussie Hoax).

It now looks like Cook County's "deal" with Jussie Smollett isn't just strange, it might actually be in violation of Illinois law. https://t.co/7j3jnqJyO4
