Big tech has been in the midst of a social media purge. Twitter banned conservative writer and intellectual David Horowitz, then reinstated his account, and has now banned him again. It also banned a popular parody account that mocked Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, and the @MAGAphobia account that chronicled instances of violent acts against supporters of President Trump.
Meanwhile on Facebook and Instagram, prominent conservatives including Alex Jones, Paul Joseph Watson, Laura Loomer, and Milo Yiannopoulos have been named “dangerous” and “hate figures” by the big tech platform. Facebook and Instagram will now ban users who share videos or links featuring Jones, and have already been caught banning individuals who merely posted photos of the banned individuals on Instagram, only to reverse the bans after Big League Politics requested comment from the tech giant.
