Anti-Gun Mayor Gives DICK’s CEO Award for the Company’s Anti-Gun Policies #RedPills
At the Yale Mayors College & CEO Summit in New York City, Pittsburgh Mayor William Peduto awarded DICK’S Sporting Goods CEO Edward Stack the “Maverick in Leadership Award” for his company’s anti-gun policies.
According to a press release, Stack was awarded for his “work on behalf of common-sense gun safety measures.”
BLP previously reported on several of DICK’s anti-gun policies under Stack’s leadership.
Peduto has gained notoriety for proposing a series of anti-gun ordinances that violate Pennsylvania’s firearms preemption law. This statute clearly states:

No county, municipality or township may in any manner regulate the lawful ownership, possession, transfer or transportation of firearms, ammunition or ammunition components when carried or transported for purposes not prohibited by the laws of this Commonwealth.
Despite such language that prevents municipalities from enacting gun control, Peduto signed legislation in April that restricted the use of standard capacity magazines within city limits.
This only reinforces a much larger trend taking place in America, where corporate entities are now embracing gun control and normalizing its practice throughout corporate America.
Second Amendment advocates will have to be careful where they shop at.
