Ignoring The Obvious: Fresno Bee Stories Give AOC Pass For Weak Record On Freedom #Politics #RedPills

Since the Memorial Day controversy in Fresno when the Grizzlies minor league baseball team showed a video depicting Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (shown speaking at the 2019 Women's Rights March in New York) as an "enemy of freedom," the Fresno Bee has published multiple stories on the controversy. However, Bee writers conveniently skipped right over the basic issue of whether or not the socialist firebrand is a threat to freedom.

The On The Issues website demonstrates AOC's anti-freedom stands on political issues, though the Bee's writers chose to ignore the 800-pound gorilla in the living room.

AOC is "strongly opposed" to the "absolute right to gun ownership" and the Second Amendment right of Americans to protect their lives and their freedom.

The congresswoman stands against the rights of the unborn, instead supporting abortion rights.

AOC opposes the freedom of school choice for students trapped in failing public schools.

She "strongly opposes" private alternatives to government-controlled social security, another freedom-denying position.

AOC has also shown her extreme socialist stripes by favoring a 70-percent federal tax rate that would confiscate most of the earnings of the wealthy. Such an outrageous tax burden is an attack on individual freedom, and Anderson Cooper and many Democrats even called that radical.

So what have the Bee's writers been focusing on while covering up AOC's threats to freedom?

Marek Warszawski dwelt on how the Grizzlies screwed up, but it shouldn't erase the club's years of championing diversity. The Grizzlies have even started a nationwide minor league baseball trend of Taco Truck Throwdown and, to connect with their Latino fans, designed caps for the Fresno Lowriders (Lowriders de Fresno).

He cited the Grizzlies' press release stating, “Too often in pop culture, Lowriders are incorrectly stereotyped as being affiliated with gangs, when actually, maintaining a lowrider car requires knowledge, hard work and dedication."

Warszawski vouched for the team's "veracity and integrity" in apologizing for portraying AOC along with dictators and Antifa as enemies of freedom.

He also accused Sun-Maid of grandstanding for discontinuing its sponsorship of the Grizzlies. "Even though the Grizzlies apologized for their egregious mistake, much repair work remains. That’s fair. But the continued backlash against an organization that has done so much to champion our community’s diversity is not," Warszawski wrote.

Nary a mention though of AOC's attacks on freedom.

In another Fresno Bee story on AOC, Brianna Calix reported that City Councilmen Miguel Arias and Esmeralda Soria met with Ocasio-Cortez to apologize for the insult. They also gave her some Fresno Grizzlies swag and invited her to join national leaders to visit the city for a forum on clean water, health care and jobs. AOC did not commit to the visit, but posed with them holding a Grizzlies' t-shirt.

Calix wasn't going anywhere near the question raised on Memorial Day about AOC's threats to freedom.

Cresencio Rodriguez-Delgado of the Bee wrote about the Grizzlies first game after Memorial Day drawing the largest crowd for the season, for fireworks and Star Wars Night. This writer says the team lost two major sponsors (Heineken International was the second) after the "inflammatory" video.

Again, another Bee writer ignored the freedom issue.

Carmen George wrote about the Grizzlies' employee who selected the video getting reprimanded. A "thorough investigation" of the incident was conducted, but none of the Bee writers cited here provided balance by examining whether or not AOC is an "enemy of freedom."
