Celebrity Rage: Trump’s Name Is the New ‘Swastika,’ You're Better Off Worshiping the Devil #Politics #RedPills
Somebody should pitch Hollywood producers on a new type of celebrity game show called “Who Can Sink Lower?” Because every month there is an intense competition amongst entertainers to see who can descend further into the depths with their heinous descriptions of Donald Trump and his supporters.
First up is actress/singer Bette Midler who posted a picture of a Trump rally and implied his black supporters in attendances were sell-outs: “How much did he pay them to be there?”
Then there’s comedian and SiriusXM host Dean Obeidallah who claimed Trump’s name “is becoming a modern-day swastika” and added “Someone says, ‘I like Trump,’ they’re telling you ‘I'm in for white supremacy.’”
Comedian and former CNN host D.L. Hughley charged that Trump was worse than the Devil as he railed “You could worship the devil and be a better human being than if you worshiped Donald Trump.”
There are even more contestants for Most Obnoxious Celebrity Outburst. The following are just a few of them from the last month:
[STRONG LANGUAGE WARNING]
“Devil Worshipers Have a Higher Standard” Than Trump Supporters
“They’re [Trump supporters] the most vacant group of people....Devil worshipers have a higher standard than he [Donald Trump] does. Devil worshipers. You couldn’t be a pedophile, you can’t speak bad about people, you can’t take things from people. Like, you could worship the devil and be a better human being than if you worshiped Donald Trump....Look up the tenets of the Church of Satan....and then go to a Trump rally and you’ll feel safer around Beelzebub than this dude.”
— Comedian and former CNN host D.L. Hughley on TVOne’s The D.L. Hughley Show, July 23.
Only Way African-American Men Support Trump, Is If They Are Paid To Do It
“Look, there are African American men in this shot! How much did he pay them to be “blackground”?
— July 24 tweet by actress/Singer Bette Midler that included a picture of a Donald Trump campaign rally.
Meltdown Over Mueller Disappointment
“A frail old man, unable to remember things, stumbling, refusing to answer basic questions...I said it in 2017 and Mueller confirmed it today – All you pundits and moderates and lame Dems who told the public to put their faith in the esteemed Robert Mueller – just STFU from now on.”
— July 24 tweet by film director Michael Moore.
“Trump must be gloating in ecstasy. Not because of the failure that is Robert Mueller – his Report is still a damning document of crimes by Trump – but because Trump understands the power of the visual, and he understands that the Dems aren’t street fighters and that’s why he’ll win.”
— Moore tweeting again a few minutes later.
“There’s a difference between EXCITING and IMPORTANT. Some important things are not exciting. The President of the United States committed a felony. #MSM stay focused on what’s important. @cnn @nytimes @washingtonpost @WSJ @HuffPost @MSNBC @NewYorker @Newsweek @TIME”
— July 24 tweet by Will & Grace actress Debra Messing
Trump’s Name = “Modern-Day Swastika”
“There have been mosques defaced with the word ‘Trump.’ Today, Trump is becoming a modern-day swastika. People have to be aware, it’s no longer a name – it’s shorthand for a symbol of hate. Someone says, ‘I like Trump,’ they’re telling you ‘I'm in for white supremacy – I’m in for bigotry – I’m in for sexism.’ That’s what Trump means now, and I think we have to be aware of it and call it out bluntly.”
— Comedian and SiriusXM host Dean Obeidallah on MSNBC’s AM Joy, July 21.
Rob Reiner Rages Against Trump
“If we don’t start Impeachment proceedings against this lawless President, then what we fought for 243 yrs. ago will have been for nothing. We will once again be relegating power to a King who is above the law. This can’t be about politics. It’s about the survival of Democracy.”
— July 21 tweet by actor/director Rob Reiner.
“It is imperative: Congress must start an Impeachment Inquiry. This President colluded with a foreign enemy power to undermine our Democracy. Then Obstructed Justice to cover that up. Period. Speaker Pelosi, with all due respect, NO MORE FUCKING AROUND!”
— July 24 tweet by actor/director Rob Reiner.
“Every day between now and Election Day in Nov. of 2020, you have only to keep reminding yourself that the President of the United States is a Racist, a Liar, a Sexual Predator and a Criminal. The choice is easy.”
— July 19 tweet by actor/director Rob Reiner.
Impeach “Idiot Racist” Trump
“I’m dead ass convinced this idiot racist could kill someone on Twitter live in the WH west wing & u guys would be like ‘when he kills someone he reaffirms his message of division. We have to work together to reflect BLAH’ CALL 4 IMPEACHMENT Speaker Pelosi Stop dragging this OUT.”
— July 14 tweet by singer Janelle Monae.

Clip of Democratic presidential candidate Pete Buttigieg: “The Republican Party likes to cloak itself in the language of religion.”
Host Stephen Colbert: “I don’t know, mayor, nowadays, it’s less of a cloak and more of a sheet.”...
Clip of Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders: “The American people understand that Trump is a phony, that Trump is a pathological liar and a racist.”

— CBS’s The Late Show With Stephen Colbert, June 27.
Rosie’s Sick Joke
“There’s a creepy incest feel that is very prevalent amongst Donald Trump and his children, at least his daughter [Ivanka Trump]. Very creepy...I think she’s like, you know, a talentless, non-intelligent, non-powerful woman.”
— Actress/comedian Rosie O’Donnell on Sirius XM host Michelangelo Signorile’s show, July 10.
Oh No Rosie! Claims Over 100,000 “Concentration Camps” In “Nearly Every State”
“The concentration camps, even though there’s lots of controversy about the word. But actually, legitimate scholars who have studied genocide say, yes, these are, in fact, the criteria for concentration camps, they meet them. There are over 100,000 camps in nearly every state.”
— Actress/comedian and former ABC’s The View co-host Rosie O’Donnell on Bravo’s Watch What Happens Live, June 24.
Trump Only Cares About Demonizing “Brown People”
“Trump is not interested in solving this problem [illegal immigration]. He is interested in keeping this alive so he has an issue to run on in 2020. That’s all he has, is to demonize the brown people that are coming to America.”
— Director/actor Rob Reiner on MSNBC’s AM Joy, June 29.
Dear Mike Pence...Go to Hell!
“Dear @VP you are a hate mongering, fear based weasel & your biggest irony is that if there was hell, you’d 100% be going there. I hope you go 2 prison 4 crimes against humanity re: the lgbt community, women’s rights & the babies u rip from the arms of parents seeking our help.”
— June 11 tweet by comedian/actress Sarah Silverman.
GOP Has Become “The Asshole Dad Party”
“We have to come to terms with the reality that the reality that the ‘daddy party’ is the ‘asshole dad party’ now, and the patriarch of it all is a hot mess. And you know what happens when Daddy is a useless piece of crap, right? Mom has to take over. And that’s why Democrats – they’re no longer the ‘mommy party’ – they’re the ‘single mother party.’ They’re the party that has to work two jobs because Daddy went out for cigarettes and never came back. The ‘single mother party’ now is the only one that cares about the kids’ future. Republicans – they’re the party of the Koch brothers – pollute all you want now because tomorrow, not our problem. We’ll be gone.”
— Host Bill Maher on HBO’s Real Time, June 14.
The Voice of a Generation
“All of you all know how important it is to be involved in politics. The youth, this generation, we are the last fucking hope on this dying fucking planet!...I don’t like that there’s more fucking trash in the water than living fucking animals that deserve to be there, that have nowhere else to go. And by the fuckin’ way, we don’t have anywhere to fucking go either! There’s no planet B, so don’t fuck it up!”
— Singer/actress Miley Cyrus from the stage at the June 28 Tinderbox Festival in Odense, Denmark.
“We’ve been doing the same thing to the earth that we do to women. We just take and take and expect it to keep producing. And it’s exhausted. It can’t produce. We’re getting handed a piece-of-shit planet, and I refuse to hand that down to my child. Until I feel like my kid would live on an earth with fish in the water, I’m not bringing in another person to deal with that.”
— Singer/actress Miley Cyrus in July 11 interview with Elle magazine.
Unhappy Fourth of July!
“We have a racist, fascist president who’s using armed thugs in law enforcement & illegal militias to keep us cowed & hopeless & he’ll take the 2020 election by armed force & blatant, treasonous criminality & that’s us now, we’re the country with concentration camps so happy 4th.”
— July 4 tweet by director Joss Whedon.
“Apologies to the rest of the world that our leaders are a vile international disgrace! Happy 4th!!!”
— July 4 tweet by comedian/actor Billy Eichner.
It Won’t Be Long Until the 19th Amendment is Revoked
“You started Handmaid’s Tale in 2016, before the election, and now not only did it in some ways seem prescient, but the red cloak and the white bonnet has become a symbol, part of the vocabulary of resistance to some of the sort of backward-looking changes happening around, especially women’s rights.”
— Host Stephen Colbert to Hulu’s The Handmaid’s Tale star Elisabeth Moss, on CBS’s The Late Show, June 7.
