Tlaib: Migrant Centers “Absolutely” Comparable to Concentration Camps #TeamBongino
Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) says it’s “absolutely” appropriate to compare U.S. border facilities to concentration camps due to the “trauma” the centers cause the migrants.
Tlaib was asked by ABC’s Martha Raddatz yesterday if she agreed with Ocasio-Cortez’s comments comparing U.S. migrant centers to concentration camps.
“Absolutely,” the Michigan congresswoman replied.
“It’s traumatic. I mean, I don’t know how to explain to people what we saw. When we’re explaining to us and looking back at us, that can’t be true. We’re all there. You have Congressman Castro, all of us were there. We saw what we saw. Some of them haven’t seen their children since being there. What you need to know, the mere touch the mere, even me holding the hand, broke them down in tears. They’re under a lot of trauma. They’re in a facility that is dehumanizing. This is choice by the current administration. They’re choosing not allowing asylum to go through the legal procedure procedure.”
Congresswoman Ocasio-Cortez enraged many with her comments last month about the border facilities.In a video on social media last month, AOC said, “The U.S. is running concentration camps on our southern border and that is exactly what they are and um, if that doesn’t bother you I don’t…I like…we can have OK whatever…I want to talk to the people that are concerned enough with humanity that ‘never again’ means something…”
