NBC Hides Defund the Police Mob Beating NYPD Cops in the Head, ABC/CBS Gawk #Political

New York Police Department Chief Terence Monahan was among the four officers injured in a brutal daytime attack on the Brooklyn Bridge Wednesday, during an interfaith march to show support for the city’s police. He suffered a broken finger while others were seen with blood running down their faces. This disgusting violence was covered up by NBC Nightly News, while ABC’s World News Tonight and CBS Evening News gawked at it in news briefs.

“And an attack today on New York City police officers was caught on surveillance video,” announced CBS anchor Norah O’Donnell. “This happened at protestors both pro and anti-police clashed on the Brooklyn Bridge. At least four officers were hurt including the chief of department, the city's top uniformed officer. 37 people were arrested.”

Her fleeting news brief lasted just 18 seconds.

ABC anchor David Muir managed to squeeze out just a few more seconds; 23 total to be exact:

Next this evening, four New York City police officers, including the city’s police chief injured during protests on the Brooklyn Bridge. The officers were hurt after encountering an occupy city hall rally during a pro-police march. Video from the scene tonight showing some officers trying to push back the crowd. Others treating wounds. The chief reportedly suffering a broken finger. Police say at least 38 people are in custody tonight.

But there was way more to the story.

As CBS’s local affiliate, CBS2 reported, “Clashes marred what started out as a peaceful unity march in Brooklyn on Wednesday morning. Demonstrators took to the streets to call for an end to the staggering increase in gun violence across the city.”

CBS2 also noted the march featured “a diverse group of faith leaders — Christian, Muslim, Jewish — and law enforcement, police unions, Black Veterans for For [sic] Social Justice, and citizens came together.”

ABC’s local affiliate, ABC7 framed the pro-police marchers as the aggressors:

Pro-police protesters got close to where the "Defund the Police" protesters were and chaos ensued around 10 a.m.

"They literally arrested about 20 of our folks, as this protest, stop, we're going to arrest Black Lives Matter protesters and then allow this protest to peacefully come by," said Jonathan Lykes, Black Youth Project 100. "They didn't want a counter protest, they didn't want democracy, they didn't want freedom in this moment."

NBC News didn’t even bother to have an article about the attack posted on their website. But NBC4 did. “It's not immediately clear what led to the violence, but video posted to the NYPD's Twitter account shows a group of officers attempting to detain a man on the roadway,” wrote NBC4. “A group of protesters stand near the fencing on the walkway above, and a man with what appears to be either a cane or a pipe runs up and whacks the officers twice.”

This came after the networks ignored the murder of an officer in Tulsa, who died in a hospital after getting shot in the head.
