Morning Mika Erroneously 'Fact Checks' Mike Pence on Biden Condemning Violence #Political
The very first two words in a video clip of Mike Pence on Wednesday noting that Demcrat presidential candidate Joe Biden did not say one word about the violent rioting were "last week." Got that, Mika? Yet those two words somehow did not register with her or, more likely, were inconvenient for Mika Brzezinki's Morning Joe "fact check" on Thursday that Joe Biden did indeed condemn the violence on August 26.
Right. After almost three months of violent rioting during which Biden remained notably mum, he finally uttered a few obligatory words condemning violence. However, Pence was not at all wrong when he pointed out that Biden did not utter one word condemning violence last week during the Democrat convention nor for all the many weeks stretching back to late May when the violence began.
MIKE PENCE: Last week, Joe Biden didn't say one word about the violence and chaos engulfing cities across this country...
Pence was very clear about the time frame right at the begging of the clip yet Mika just conveniently ignored that and pretended that Pence was wrong because earlier in the day Biden put in his brief condemnation due to declining polls.
MIKA BRZEZINSKI: Actually, Mike Pence, uh, earlier that day Joe Biden did condemn the violent protests, take a listen.
Perhaps you should take a listen, Mika, to what Mike Pence said at the beginning of the clip, namely "Last week." Yeah, Biden did get finally get around to putting in a few words condemning violence but, again, it was not last week nor any other week of the past three months of riots until finally it became politically damaging this week for him to remain silent.
Exit question: Should the Washington Post's Glenn Kessler fact check Mika's "fact check" that somehow completely ignored the first two words out of Mike Pence's mouth?
