This is, IMHO, a test to see if they can keep him in office for a while longer or if they will need to make the switch sooner than they had hoped. The expectations are very low, so if he is able to coherently read the questions and pre-prepared answers on the screen in front of him and last for 30 to 45 minutes, then the media will call it a huge win.
Having it in the middle of the day has several advantages for their purposes. First, anyone who is working will not watch the whole thing live and secondly it’s probably the most alert time of day for him, even though he will very obviously be medicated. Watch to see how dilated his eyes are and that will tell us how much they have had to Jack him up. It also gives the media a chance to splice and dice a few highlights and put those on the evening newscasts to show everyone what a “commanding” presence he is in the White House!
