Blame Shifting and the Big Lie: Vice Carps About GOP Cancel Culture #Political

https://bit.ly/3dK0DcS

The mainstream media is not happy that conservatives are fighting back against cancel-culture in Georgia. In order to discredit their justified grievances against woke corporations, the left is  manipulating the narrative to make it seem as though the only true culprits of cancel culture are Republicans themselves.

An April 5 Vice article written by Paul Blest entitled “Out-of-Control Republican Cancel Culture Has Now Come for Coca-Cola” blames Conservatives for having the malevolence to collectively denounce a massive corporate entity for the sake of political gain. This obvious blame-shift is a common tactic of the left - gaslighting the American people to believe they are actually the cause for this phenomena.

In reality, it is the left that cancels, not conservatives. Americans now avoiding companies such as Coca-Cola, the MLB, and Delta Airlines is the free-market response to powerful corporations that impose their political ideology on the consumer. It is not equivalent to a targeted political campaign meant to destroy and remove from the market some product or individual they disagree with.

The article begins “So-called “cancel culture” has become a key part of the GOP’s grievance cycle and political platform.” So cancel culture as “so-called” doesn’t exist? Or it’s an invented problem conjured up by conservatives to demonize their political enemies?

Either way, Republicans, however, are responsible for this ‘fake” cancel-culture, as Blest states “Georgia Republicans are now wielding their own brand of cancellation against corporations criticizing their new voter suppression laws.” It is important to first distinguish the utter bias of such a claim. The author declares the recent Georgia voter laws as “new voter suppression laws.” Yes, extending voting hours is “suppression.” This is the left’s Big Lie, repeated even by President Biden.

Weaponizing falsehoods, presenting them to the public as unequivocal truth, demanding ideological allegiance, and threatening complete character assassination without compliance is the liberal playbook. For Blest to accuse Republicans of this behavior in the case of Coca-Cola, the MLB, and Delta Airlines boycotting Georgia over its new voter laws is both false and hypocritical. In truth, these super-woke corporations are attempting to punish Georgia for not behaving according to their standard. They started it and now they have the gall to blame Republicans.

It seems out of character for a progressive author such as Blest to be so concerned with defending the honor of these big businesses. He favors the former instead of regular Americans, especially now that it is politically expedient to do so.

Blest referenced President Trump’s response to the recent cancellations from the left: “It is finally time for Republicans and Conservatives to fight back—we have more people than they do—by far! Boycott Major League Baseball, Coca-Cola, Delta Airlines, JPMorgan Chase, ViacomCBS, Citigroup, Cisco, UPS, and Merc. Don’t go back to their products until they relent,” he added. “We can play the game better than them.”

The horror!
