Former Super Bowl Champion Wisniewski Retires To Join God’s Squad #Political
From out of the social justice and LGBT obsessions of the National Football League comes a positive story for a change. Long-time offensive lineman and former Super Bowl champion Stefen Wisniewski announced he’s going to retire from football to win souls for Christ as a pastor.
Before reporting for duty with the God squad, Wisniewski played guard and center in 139 games over 10 NFL seasons. He was a member of the Super Bowl champion Kansas City and Philadelphia teams, and he also played for Oakland, Pittsburgh and Jacksonville. He announced his plans in a recent Twitter video (@stefenwiz61).:
"After 10 seasons in the NFL, I'm retiring. I absolutely loved playing the game of football, but after 10 years, my body, my mind, and my heart are telling me it's time to move on. What am I going to do next? I'm gonna be a pastor. The absolute best part of my life is my relationship with Jesus Christ and I can't imagine a better full-time job than teaching people the Bible and sharing the love of Christ with others."
A member of the NFL’s 2011 all-rookie team, Wisniewski posted a heartfelt thank you to all the people who supported him through his football career. No. 1 on that list? Jesus Christ, the "King of the Universe and my life.":
"You were my strength, joy, purpose, anchor, life, peace, and passion through it all. I only made it through the tough times because of Your presence and because of the promises in Your Word. And the intense joy from knowing You far surpasses any joy that came from even the best parts of the game of football. And all glory that people try to give to me for what I've accomplished truly and rightfully belongs to You. Romans 11:36."
Wisniewski’s last career stop happened in week six of the 2019 season when he joined the Chiefs organization. The Chiefswire blog reported he “became crucial” late in the year with injuries to Andrew Wylie and Martinas Rankin. He started the final two games of the regular season at left guard and stayed there right through the playoffs and Super Bowl LIV, “helping propel the team to victory."
The Chiefs staged a huge fourth-quarter rally to topple San Francisco in that game. And now Wisniewski plans to teach people how they can live victoriously in their personal lives.
