‘Mossad’ Account Reportedly Gets Hezbollah Outlet Kicked Off Twitter #Political
A Hezbollah media outlet is slamming “zionists” after a parody account seemingly got the outlet kicked off Twitter.
The Jerusalem Post reported that Al-Ahed news, a Hezbollah-run media outlet, was suspended from the platform on Saturday after a Mossad-themed parody account reported a tweet from the outlet that said a stabbing from last week was “heroic.”
"Zionist media reports that an 'Israeli' settler has been critically injured after a heroic stabbing operation by a Palestinian lady in Sheikh Jarrah Neighbourhood," Al Ahed news tweeted.
The operator of the account told The Post that he did not know the account was affiliated with Hezbollah, but that he reported the tweet because of its grotesqueness. The "The Mossad: The Social Media Account" is popular on Twitter and has approximately 200,000 followers.
"At first I didn't know it was a Hezbollah-owned account," the operator of the parody Mossad account said. "I reported the original tweet because they called the stabbing of a mother dropping her kids off at school a 'heroic stabbing.'"
While the tweet from the parody account did not ask followers to report the Hezbollah media outlet, the latter’s account was seemingly suspended because of the pushback.
In response, Al-Ahed news alleged that Twitter engaged in "a shameful alliance with the devil," and "pushed by the Zionist Mossad, took an unjust measure against one of the resistance media platforms," seemingly unaware that the Mossad-themed account is a parody account.
The outlet further slammed Twitter for "attempting to silence the voices of righteousness that are simply working to cover the truth as it is."
Twitter’s Terms of Service bans glorification of violence as well as the praising of attacks carried out by terrorist organizations.
