Flake Flakes As Committee Sends Kavanaugh To The Senate Floor 11-10
The Senate Judiciary Committee sent Brett Kavanaugh’s Supreme Court nomination to the full Senate floor.
Jeff Flake supported sending on Kavanaugh’s nomination, but joined with Democrats in calling for a one-week FBI investigation into Kavanaugh, even though the FBI does not reach conclusions in sexual harassment cases as Joe Biden pointed out during the Anita Hill affair. The Democrats might be hoping the FBI stalls the investigation until after the midterm elections to get a chance of denying Kavanaugh the seat altogether — that is, in the unlikely case that Democrats hold the Senate.
