California ‘Women’s March’ Cancelled After Attracting “Overwhelmingly White” Participants
Organizers of a yearly ‘women’s march’ event in Eureka, California, are set to cancel their own event after it became clear that those who would march were “overwhelmingly white.”
In a press release, organizers explained that the march needed to be cancelled on account of lacking representation of the broader Humboldt County community where the event was planned.
“Up to this point, the participants have been overwhelmingly white, lacking representation from several perspectives in our community. Instead of pushing forward with crucial voices absent, the organizing team will take time for more outreach. Our goal is that planning will continue and we will be successful in creating an event that will build power and community engagement through connection between women that seek to improve the lives of all in our community.”
The decision to cancel the event by march organizers can leave no doubt that the feminists who planned this California march will go to any length necessary to advance diversity and inclusion, even to the point of canceling their own event. Sadly for them, it appears many “crucial voices” fail to understand why the Humboldt County Women’s March is so important, to the point where the organizers have had a consistently hard time getting people who aren’t “overwhelmingly white” to come to the annual event.

The organizers are said to be considering an alternative event in March to commemorate International Women’s Day.
Many members of the community who are less than thrilled with the national Women’s March’s affiliation with anti-Semite Louis Farrakhan and other figures widely seen as hateful may be relieved that this year’s Eureka Women’s March isn’t going forward.
