Three People Including Cop Stabbed In UK At Victoria Station; Suspect Screamed ‘Allah Akbar’
British Counterterrorism police have launched an investigation after a suspected terrorist stabbed three people, injuring a police offer in Manchester’s Victoria Station during New Year’s Eve festivities in the UK.
A man and woman, both in their 50’s, were taken to a local hospital with stab wounds.
The British police officer was stabbed in the shoulder and also taken to the hospital.
The victims’ conditions are unclear at the moment.

Multiple eyewitnesses say that they heard the suspect shout “allah akbar” as he was taken into custody by law enforcement officials.

UPDATE: Multiple eyewitness reports claim that the attacker was screaming "Allah Allah" and as police tackled and pepper sprayed him he was screaming along the lines of "these things will continue as long as you continue bombing these countries".

Assistant Chief Constable Rob Potts announced that counter-terrorism investigators were leading the investigation.
“Tonight’s events will have understandably worried people but I need to stress that the incident is not ongoing, a man is in custody and there is currently no intelligence to suggest that there is any wider threat at this time,” Potts said.
Sam Clack, a producer for BBC News, was at Victoria station when he witnessed the attack.

“I just heard this most blood curdling scream and looked down the platform. What it looked like was a guy in his 60s with a woman of similar age and another guy all dressed in black,” Clack said. “It looked like they were having a fight but she was screaming in this blood curdling way. I saw police in high-viz come towards him. He came towards me. I looked down and saw he had a kitchen knife with a black handle with a good, 12in blade. It was just fear, pure fear.”

Clack told The Independent:
“Police officers used a Taser and pepper spray before, “six or seven” officers jumped on the man.”
