NAACP Calls For Ralph Northam’s Resignation
The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) is calling for Democrat Ralph Northam to resign from the governorship of Virginia.
“Black face in any manner is always racist and never okay. No matter the party affiliation, we can not stand for such behavior, which is why the NAACP is calling for the resignation of Virginia Governor Ralph Northam,” said NAACP president Derrick Johnson.
Fallout continues for Ralph Northam after Big League Politics published a medical school yearbook photo showing Northam and a friend dressed in blackface and a Ku Klux Klan hood, respectively.

Northam’s nickname at the Virginia Military Institute was “Coonman,” according to yearbooks.
E.W. Jackson, Northam’s black opponent for lieutenant governor in 2013 said that Northam’s behavior was “consistent” when Northam refused to shake Jackson’s hand at their televised debate.
