Former ABC Family Channel Devotes Over Two Minutes of Witch Drama to Group Sex #Political

Freeform’s Motherland: Fort Salem has been building up to some steamy romance between the male and female witch recruits. Nothing would prepare teen viewers, however, for over two minutes devoted to the recruits brazenly having sex with each other up against trees, in fields, and in plain view and hearing of others. The episode is rated TV-14 for dialogue, language, sex, and violence, but otherwise no warning was given to the graphic nature of the scene.

“We get it, you’re having sex,” yells recruit Raelle Collar (Taylor Hickson), amidst the moans of the others, in April 8’s episode “Hail Beltane.” While Raelle, a main character, is not participating in the sexcapades (she already has a girlfriend), the rest of her unit and fellow main characters, Tally Craven (Jessica Sutton) and Abigail Bellweather (Ashley Nicole Williams), certainly are.

Tally loses her virginity up against a tree and in the morning after prances around while Abigail says, “Don’t feed the ‘I finally had sex’ monster.” Abigail participates in a threesome with two other guys, who, at one point, she directs to kiss each other. She fails to say goodbye to them the next day when the male witches leave. “I already got what I needed,” she says while working on her training.

What these witches “needed,” apparently is a night of wild and crazy sexual encounters. Surely, that’s going to benefit their military training.

Freeform, owned by Disney, used to be the ABC Family channel and aired The 700 Club after a repeat of Motherland.
